Andrew Matthews lives in Toronto, but grew up in Windsor, with the music mecca of Detroit across the river. He credits the proximity of Detroit and the unusually high number of good hi-fi shops in Windsor as the primary reason for his deep interest in different genres of music and the electronic gear that reproduces it. Andrew is firmly in the two-channel analog camp (figuratively in life as well) and is very much enjoying the renaissance of vinyl. The number and variety of FM radio stations in Detroit was his gateway into a lifetime of enjoyment of that format, and he credits CKUA Radio in Edmonton with expanding his love of world music.
