Soul To Keep You Alive
We are languishing, according to a popular NY Times article someone sent me recently. I can’t argue with that term.
And there ain’t no more words need to be written about that.

In the car we mostly listen to a popular Toronto rock station that bills itself as “alternative”, but which has been pretty mainstream in recent, well, decades. (I’ve been listening to them on and off since I was a teen in the late 70’s)
Lately, on said station, my wife and I have been hearing two recent hits by a Grammy-nominated duo called Black Pumas: the songs are called Fire, and Colors. These songs have been a welcome relief from the daily regurgitation of Zombie, Come As You Are, and ever more mundane gems from the Weezer canon.
It got me thinking about the wonderful Classic Soul playlist that David put together and shared here a few months ago. Here it is, in case you missed it:

I decided to compile a more modern version. This one’s in Tidal, and it’s all over the map musically, I didn’t really know what to call it. Stuff I find Soulful, anyway.
Let us know what you think, down below in the Comments. Tell us what you’ve been listening to, who you’re watching on Youtube, what’s the first concert you want to see. Anything music-related to help with the aforementioned languishing.
Happy listening, stay well.
Noam
Bird-brain soul, maybe? Right out of left field for sure. Crazy, funny, I laugh ’til I cry even after about twenty viewings.
