What and Why: The Why

Raison d’être

What’s left of the hi-fi movement has splintered in so many directions lately. Same for the delivery portion of the music industry. It seems to me that this phenomena is a predictable outcome of globalization, and of the rapidly-changing age of digital media. We’re struggling to keep up, even as far as awareness of what’s here, what may be coming, and the implications.

Wall Of Sound is an endeavour to bring together likeminded people and help enrich our awareness and understanding of great music reproduction. Our “philosophy” is perhaps best embodied in my editorial musing, The Slow Audio Movement.
