Reminder: Only Two Chances Left To Hear Rhitom Sarkar In Toronto
Last Chance and Not To Be Missed!
As I posted at the end of August, Hindustani Slide Guitar master Rhitom Sarkar has been here on a return visit from Kolkata – performing a series of concerts in the Greater Toronto Area. My son and I saw him play in Waterford on Sept.7th, and my wife and I were at the performance on the 14th at Govinda’s in Toronto. Both performances were amazing, with Rhitom’s mohan veena accompanied by the talented and affable Toronto tabla player, Sonesh Chattlani.
At this point there are still two chances remaining, for local folks to catch Rhitom and Sonesh:
September 21st – Rhitom Sarkar performs along with Celtic-Folk group The Ferriers, at Faith Presbyterian Community Church in Toronto. Tickets are $15.
September 27th – Small World Music Centre in Toronto presents Rhitom Sarkar and Rakae Jamil. Tickets are $23.98 from Showpass. Part of the Small World Music Festival. Link for more information. Link for more information.
I again encourage readers to experience this incredible music for themselves! You won’t regret it, nor forget it. 🙂
*Here’s a video clip from last year’s show at Small World, as enticement.
